The Children’s Museum Tucson occupies the 1901 Carnegie Library. The building’s design was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Sullivan. Trost & Trost Architects was founded in El Paso, Texas. Their firm, Trost & Trost Architects, designed several prominent civic and residential buildings throughout the state, including the Carnegie Library. Their design was a collaboration between two architects and was funded by the Public Works Administration. The architect Richard A. Morse designed the three-level rectangular stack-room. Unfortunately, fire destroyed the roof and the rotunda.
